About the JobClarios is hiring a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support plant operations at its manufacturing facility in Middletown, Delaware. This is a full-time, hands-on engineering role focused on improving manufacturing processes, resolving production issues, reducing downtime, and optimizing equipment performance.About the RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will serve as a key engineering resource on the 1st shift. You will work directly with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and process problems, identify recurring issues, and implement improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.The role combines daily manufacturing support with longer-term continuous improvement and capital projects. You will use production data and structured root-cause analysis to identify bottlenecks, scrap, downtime, and other inefficiencies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide primary engineering support during the 1st shift.Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing process issues in real time.Identify and eliminate recurring downtime, bottlenecks, and scrap.Perform structured root-cause analysis to resolve production problems.Analyze production data and identify process improvement opportunities.Drive measurable improvements in manufacturing performance.Lead and support capital improvement and continuous improvement projects.Manage projects from initial concept through implementation.Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.Maintain equipment standards and layouts.Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes.Working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems; programming experience is a plus.Strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills.Experience identifying root causes and implementing process improvements.PreferredExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with CAD systems for equipment layouts, drawings, and BOMs.Experience with data-analysis tools such as Minitab.SkillsThe ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Important skills include root-cause analysis, production data analysis, PLC troubleshooting, process optimization, continuous improvement, equipment reliability, project management, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and cross-functional teamwork.Work Schedule & EnvironmentThis is a fully onsite 1st-shift position, generally Monday through Friday with 8–10-hour shifts. Overtime may be required depending on production and project needs. The manufacturing environment may involve hot and cold conditions.
