Cost Accounting ManagerA well-established manufacturing organization in in the east metro is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to support financial operations across multiple production facilities. This company has a long-standing reputation for quality, operational excellence, and employee retention, and offers a collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership support. This position offers 4 days in office, 1 from home.Position OverviewThis role will oversee cost accounting processes, inventory controls, and operational financial analysis while partnering closely with finance and operations leadership to improve plant performance and profitability. The position will also play a key role in maintaining accurate product costing, supporting month-end close activities, and driving process improvements across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support accounting team members while fostering a collaborative and service-oriented environmentMaintain and improve standard costing processes, including product setup, bills of materials, labor rates, overhead allocations, and material costingAnalyze manufacturing and inventory-related variances, including purchase price, freight, and production variancesOversee inventory cycle count programs and ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and reportingSupport electronic transaction flow between internal systems and external business partnersPartner with corporate finance leadership on monthly close activities, audit support, and process improvement initiativesWork cross-functionally with operations and business leaders to provide financial insights and operational supportPresent financial and operational reporting to leadership teams to help drive performance improvementsAssist with budgeting support, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and financial evaluation of operational initiativesPromote strong working relationships across departments, vendors, and customersParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and other special projects as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentExperience with standard costing and inventory accounting strongly preferredCPA and/or CMA designation preferred but not requiredExperience supporting multiple facilities or business units is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with both finance and operations teamsAdditional InformationStable, growth-oriented manufacturing companyCollaborative leadership team and strong company cultureCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to make a visible impact within operations and finance
