US Sales Manager (Meat)
Our client is seeking a highly driven and motivated sales professional with a strong passion for the meat industry across the U.S. region. This role focuses on prospecting new business opportunities while expanding and managing an existing portfolio of accounts.The successful candidate will be responsible for generating profitable sales across a diverse product range, including fresh and frozen pork, beef, poultry, and seafood. Target customers include retailers, processors, foodservice operators, local market distributors, meat shops, and trading companies.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys a hands-on approach to business development.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow an assigned portfolio of customers and leads across the U.S.Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients while identifying new revenue opportunitiesMonitor and manage pending sales orders to ensure timely and efficient executionAchieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, including profitability, volume (pounds), and revenue goalsSupport demand planning efforts in alignment with company standardsCollaborate closely with purchasing and operations teams to meet customer requirementsPartner with the trading team to support inventory and market position strategiesWork alongside credit and collections teams to ensure accounts receivable meet company standardsProvide market insights and guidance to customers based on data and industry trendsTravel as needed to meet clients, develop new business, and support market expansionParticipate in trade shows, industry events, and company-sponsored activitiesRequired Experience & SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in sales or purchasing within trading companies, foodservice distributors, retailers, or processors in the U.S. marketStrong knowledge of the U.S. meat industry and its market dynamicsProven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and industry partnersDemonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and growing an account portfolioHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a changing environmentSelf-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying opportunitiesAbility to follow established processes while aligning with company goals and strategiesStrong analytical mindset with a curiosity for data, trends, and market insightsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable adopting and leveraging technology, tools, and platformsBilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
