We seek an enthusiastic, confident leader to join Verve?s retail management team as an Asisstant Manager in our Melrose Cafe in Los Angeles, CA. Join us and Live with Verve!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach and support retail staff
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products offered by Verve Coffee Roasters
Effectively communicate expectations to staff
Provide and promote excellent customer service at all times
Participate in the interview process
Assist in planning and executing staff meetings
Facilitate weekly/monthly inventory and ordering
Cash handling operations
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Motivate team with positivity, and set the pace for speed and efficiency during shifts
Take advantage of teachable moments that are presented
Lead in-store bar training and coffee education and be a model barista
Uphold current standards and identify key areas of improvement
Promote team work and excellent communication in the café
Follow disciplinary protocol outlined in the VCR Employee Handbook
Run weekly sales reports, master reports and labor reports
Review employee clock in/out on a daily basis
Work with Café Manager to ensure that all financial goals are being met
Place weekly/monthly orders with vendors
Manage and organize stock areas
Ensure that daily side work and weekly projects are completed
REQUIREMENTS:
Inspirational leader
Supervisory experience preferred
Advanced skills in leadership and communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well organized and detail oriented
Must be approachable, mindful and positive
Previous cash handling experience required
Ability to work well with a team
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Flexible with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment
Able to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
Valid Food Handler's Certification is required
Compensation is based on position and experience, starting at $21.33 + Tips
