IT Systems EngineerClayton, NC (100% on-site)Duration: 4-month contractPay: $50-55/hrOur client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support a major site expansion project in Clayton, NC. You'll join a cross-functional IT Infrastructure team providing Tier 1-2 operational support and helping maintain and administer site IT systems, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager.What You'll DoInstall, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, WAPs) and infrastructure systems (monitoring tools, network management systems)Provide Tier 1-2 network support and server administration for onsite Windows virtual servers, including after-hours and ad-hoc production supportProvide Tier 1 support for the site ERP system (SAP), including iDoc monitoring, analysis, and resolution; act as liaison between site end users and HQ SAP supportPerform hands-on hardware/software work, including server room and patch room build-outsSupport backup/restore processes for manufacturing systemsOperate network equipment and systems in compliance with FDA regulations governing computer-based information and automation systemsMaintain network and infrastructure documentation per corporate requirementsCoordinate with equipment and service vendors on troubleshooting, installations, and reliability improvementsFollow all safety requirements (PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space) and cGMP procedures; maintain training readinessWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; OR Associate's degree plus 7 years of experience implementing and administering networks in a medium-to-large enterprise environment with Windows virtual server supportNetworking certification (CCNA, CCNP) preferredStrong knowledge of networking principles; experience troubleshooting and documenting network devices and infrastructure systemsExperience supporting Windows-based virtual serversExperience in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, cosmetic, beverage, or similar regulated manufacturing preferredFamiliarity with FDA-regulated environments, IT network security implementation, and system life-cycle development preferredStrong customer service orientation and ability to coordinate across networking, infrastructure, and application teams
