Procurement Specialist (JL=15)
Procurement SpecialistContractor Procurement Specialist Procurement builds and sustains relationships with business leaders and other sourcing professionals, understands the short and long term business unit strategy, develops commodity sourcing strategies, and leads the implementation of those strategies. Assists in ensuring horizontal integration with the business unit and will have primary responsibility for leading supplier selection and negotiation, managing the business relationship with suppliers, managing and tracking internal implementation and contract compliance, identification and implementation of total cost of ownership reduction opportunities, monitoring internal customer satisfaction, and identification and implementation of best sourcing practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of procurement, sourcing on contingent workforce, software and IT outsourcing, and IT products and services
Ability to run procurement projects including conducting bid analysis, negotiating contracts & commercial terms, consistent in maximizing business value
Conduct benchmark research and sharing best-in-class industry statistics with the business unit
Manage business unit's expectations through timely feedback and proactive communication
Identify risk situations and solutions and coordinate with management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, with CPM or training in Procurement
5+ years of procurement experience in Supply Chain, IT/Engineering or other closely related field
A demonstrated ability to build relationships, and think strategically and systemically
Strong knowledge of contract law and contract management
Well rounded understanding of technology, operations, and business processes
Excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Proficient in purchasing negotiation techniques
Demonstrated project management of a sourcing process
