The company provides mission-critical construction, engineering, and maintenance services across essential infrastructure sectors.The business is in a growth and integration phase, with multiple operating entities and a strong focus on building scalable systems, processes, and financial infrastructure.The OpportunityThis is a #2 to the CFO role designed for a high-caliber, analytical finance professional who wants to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution.This is not a traditional FP&A role — there is currently limited formal budgeting/forecasting infrastructure, so this individual will help build processes from the ground up while supporting ad hoc, high-impact initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive PartnershipAct as a strategic right hand to the CFO/COOSupport execution of company-wide strategic initiativesPrepare board materials, executive presentations, and ad hoc analysesServe as a cross-functional liaison across finance, operations, and leadershipSpecial Projects & StrategyLead high-impact, ad hoc projects across the organizationSupport system implementations and process buildoutsDevelop KPIs and performance tracking across operating divisionsDrive data analytics and reporting enhancementsProcess Improvement & BuildoutDesign and implement budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processesIdentify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutionsAutomate manual workflows and improve reporting accuracyAssist in developing internal policies and proceduresM&A & IntegrationSupport due diligence and financial analysis for acquisitionsAssist with integration of acquired businessesDrive back-office centralization and standardization effortsAnalyze operational and financial synergiesIdeal Candidate Profile**3–6 years of experience in:Investment Banking (1st or 2nd year Associate preferred), orTransaction Advisory / QoE (Senior / Manager), orCorporate finance within a PE-backed environmentStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsetAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiencyAbility to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, build-from-scratch environmentHighly proactive, intellectually curious, and execution-orientedStrong communication skills with ability to interact with senior leadershipNo prior industry experience requiredWhy This RoleTrue right-hand to the CFO with high visibilityOpportunity to build finance infrastructure from scratchDirect exposure to M&A, strategy, and operationsAccelerated path toward CFO-level leadershipStrong compensation with better quality of life vs. IB / consulting
