Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Douglas, MA, for a Conservation Agent. The Conservation Agent will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing local, state, and federal environmental regulations. The role involves conducting site visits, reviewing applications, issuing permits, preparing reports, and coordinating conservation projects. The candidate will also provide guidance to the Conservation Commission, collaborate with local stakeholders, and promote sustainable resource management through education and outreach efforts. Qualifications Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and local, state, and federal conservation guidelinesSkills in conducting site inspections, analyzing environmental impacts, and issuing permits related to conservation projectsStrong organizational and project management abilities for coordinating conservation initiatives and preparing reportsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing documentation and engaging with community members and stakeholdersProficiency with mapping tools, GIS, or other environmental software is a plusTwo years of professional experience in conservation, environmental science, or related fieldsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field is preferredAbility to work collaboratively within a team setting and independently in an on-site environment
