PLC Programmer FANUC

REQ OVERVIEW:In this role, you will be supporting integration and commissioning efforts for a high-volume automotive manufacturer in northern Indiana. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics, body applications, and special means build. The successful candidate will play a critical role in programming, touch-ups, commissioning support, and quality collaboration during pre-commissioning and launch phases. You will be responsible for the following:Develop, modify, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for body shop applicationsPerform robot teaching, touch-ups, and recovery in active production and pre-commissioning environmentsConfigure robot frames, tools, payloads, and TCPs to meet process and quality requirementsSupport rapid program adjustments during special means buildSupport robot cell star-up, offline system work, and commissioning activitiesTroubleshoot robot alarms, motion issues, and sequence ladder logic under tight timelinesProvide on-floor support during peak programming and commissioning periodsCollaborate closely with Quality teams to resolve process issuesPerform touch-ups and refinements to improve weld quality, part accuracy, and repeatabilitySupport containment actions and fast-turn engineering changes during buildsCoordinate with controls teams to validate I/O, interlocks, and basic handshakingFollow all safety procedures during programming and floor supportWork safely in active manufacturing and commissioning environments
