STS Line Maintenance is hiring experienced A&P Mechanics to support line maintenance operations in Syracuse, New York (SYR).This role supports the daily maintenance needs of our airline customers and plays a critical part in delivering safe, reliable, and on time aircraft service.STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States, operating a rapid response, nationwide network built on technical excellence and trust.Job Responsibilities & DutiesReport directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station LeadsWork closely with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance ControllersEnsure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practicesInspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipmentMaintain the highest level of quality and integrityAdjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and technical documentationUse precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as requiredPerform additional duties as deemed necessaryWork outdoors and in inclement weather as requiredPerform maintenance on Commercial and Large Regional aircraft including Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170 platformsIdeal Candidate Requirements & QualificationsCurrent and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no history of infractionsRecent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft preferredOwn set of standard line maintenance tools with calibrated and specialty tooling providedSelf motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted with or without accommodationsAbility to pass background check and drug and alcohol screeningAbility to obtain Customs and Border Patrol clearanceBasic to mid level computer and organizational skillsExperience working under FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment preferredInspection Authorization license is a plusAbility to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specificationsAbility to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systemsFlexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethicRate of Pay$32 to $42 per hour based on experience and trainingBenefitsFull Time employees receive PTO, Health Insurance, and 401KNo benefits for Part Time positionsAbout STS Line MaintenanceSTS Line Maintenance operates 49 line maintenance stations throughout the United States, Bahamas, United Kingdom, and France.At each station, our teams provide FAA and DER engineering assistance, AOG response teams, and enhanced reliability through rapid response times.
