Job SummaryThe Production Machine Operator is responsible for converting raw materials into finished tape,film, and label products in accordance with customer work orders while strictly maintainingfacility guidelines for safety, quality, and efficiency. Operating within an ISO 9001 and AS9100registered facility, this role demands high precision, active adherence to Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs), and full participation in the Plustar Quality Management System.Core Philosophy & Operational StandardsAt Plustar, all team members operate under our core philosophy: "We are all Plustar."Operational priorities must always follow our strict baseline hierarchy:1st Priority: Safety — Observe all facility safety rules, operate equipment within specified operating parameters, and maintain a clean, organized work area.2nd Priority: Quality — Ensure complete conformance to customer specifications, maintain complete inspection records, and minimize scrap/material loss.3rd Priority: Production — Execute orders efficiently to meet established production rates and operational deadlines.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and safely operate equipment (including lathe slitters, rewind slitters, presses, printing, and die-cutting/laminating machines) per scheduled work orders.Order Execution & Inspection: Read and interpret production work orders; inspect and measure finished products using specialized tools (e.g., tape measures) to verify exact lengths, widths, and technical parameters.Material Handling & Inventory: Pull, load, and unload raw material stock to and from machines; accurately record inventory consumption, production time, waste, and packaging details.Packaging & Protection: Package finished products neatly and securely to prevent damage during warehousing and delivery.Data Entry & Record Keeping: Input job tracking and inventory data across baseline computer software applications accurately.Equipment Maintenance & GMP: Perform routine daily preventative maintenance and maintain continuous workplace cleanliness adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Continuous Learning & Teamwork: Cross-train across various production equipment and assist in educating Machine Operator Trainees as skills advance.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation / Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Prior press or slitter experience is strongly preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematics, baseline computer operation, data entry, and the ability to accurately read a standard tape measure.Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate normal color vision (ability to differentiate colors).Certifications & Authorizations: Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (training provided as needed).
