Locums - Bellingham, Washington - Physician Assistant Hematology/Oncology Opportunity Position Overview: RecruitWell is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to provide Hematology/Oncology locum tenens coverage in Bellingham, Washington. This is a primarily outpatient clinic-based role with no call requirements, working closely in a 1:1 model with a Medical Oncologist. The assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule with a rotating workweek structure. Assignment Details Start Date: July 15, 2026 Duration: 26 weeks Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 2-week rotation: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (+ Friday admin time) Call: None Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic (with occasional inpatient rounding if needed) Patient Population: Adults Patient Volume: 14-15 patients per day EMR: EPIC Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care including evaluations and follow-ups Collaborate closely with a Medical Oncologist in a 1:1 care model Participate in occasional inpatient rounding as needed Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies Develop and manage treatment plans in coordination with supervising physician Document all patient encounters accurately in the EPIC EMR system Candidate Requirements Licensure: Active Washington license OR Compact license with ability to obtain a Washington license within 2 weeks Certifications: BLS - Required (must be from AHA or American Red Cross) Experience: Prior hematology/oncology experience preferred Schedule Reliability: Must be able to follow the rotating weekly schedule Practice Highlights No call responsibilities Predictable weekday schedule Collaborative 1:1 physician support Balanced workload with manageable patient volume Why Bellingham, Washington?
