Job DetailsDescriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Educate guests on our brand, amenities, and promotionsIncrease brand awareness by bringing the Toucan mascot to lifeHave friendly, positive, and informative interactions with guestsGreet and engage with guests of all agesPerform and provide guests service through performance, silent gestures, and character posesEngage and delight our guests to provide long-lasting memories and positive interactionsConsistently execute costume maintenance to ensure operational show-ready conditionMaintain communication with supervisors by answering texts, calls, and emails in a timely mannerTransport booth and materials to event locationsSet up and break down event materials for each shiftStore and secure company property when not in useAdhere to brand marketing standardsAbility to learn brand subject matter and speak confidently in public settingsProvide feedback on the brand and share new ideas that may attract additional guestsPerform all other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Previous character performing experience preferred Candidate must be 5’6"- 5’11" for this position due to costume fitment Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Able to perform both indoors and outdoors in full costume Work effectively in a hot and claustrophobic costume environment Able to walk and stand for long periods of time Physically able to balance, stoop, kneel, sit, crouch and stand as needed to perform duties Display good nonverbal communication skills needed to bring the character to life Ability to read social cues to help understand the level of interaction guests are comfortable with Must be willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be willing to travel to off-site events within a 300-mile radius of Foley, AL Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed, and demonstrate initiative Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record; required for company auto insurance Must be able to lift items up to 25 lbs Able to work outdoors in sunny, hot, humid, cold, and rainy conditions
