CLINICAL SCRIBE (LPN / RN) SCC ORTHOPEDICS

Clinical Scribe / Clinic Support (CMA / LPN / RN)We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable clinical professional to serve as a full-time scribe and support role for a sports medicine physician. This position requires strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining professionalism and supporting high-quality patient care.Minimum QualificationsCurrent LPN or RN license in the state of Mississippi OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflowsExperience with EMR systemsAbility to read, write, and understand communicationPreferred Qualifications2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics or specialty careExperience with ICD-10 codingPrevious scribe or provider support experienceFamiliarity with EPIC EMR systemsExperience working with coding and billing departmentsEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as a dedicated scribe during patient encounters, documenting physician notes in real-timeEnter and review visit notes, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the EMRAssign preliminary ICD-10 codes based on documentation and provider guidancePrepare charts and ensure documentation completionRoom patients, obtain vitals, and assist with proceduresAdminister injections as directedServe as contact for patient questions regarding care and follow-upsCollaborate with clinical team to maintain efficient operationsMaintain professionalism and adaptability in fast-paced and provider-specific environmentsPerform other duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and/or walk for extended periodsFrequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneelingLift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistanceManual dexterity for clinical and documentation tasksAll candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
