Next Gen/Missions Pastor

Position Title: Assistant Pastor (Next Gen & Missions)Reports To: Lead PastorClassification: Part-Time or Full-TimeGeneral Job DescriptionTo actively mentor and raise up spiritually mature young people by recruiting and equipping them to believe in the Gospel and help fulfill the Great Commission to the glory of God by making disciples. To assist the lead pastor and help oversee our ministries from college age to babies. To develop, oversee, and grow the church’s outreach locally, regionally, nationally, and globally in partnership outside the confines of the church.Skills and QualificationsMust remain actively involved in outreach, especially in the local areaMust lead and manage the Youth & Children’s TeamMust lead and manage the Missions & Outreach TeamMust engage and be present within the youth of the church and communityMust oversee and shepherd the church and its ministries alongside the lead pastor Must serve and assist parents within the churchResponsibilitiesTo oversee all youth services and activities To help the lead pastor oversee certain ministries of the church Responsible to help maintain good relationship with missionaries local and afarTo participate in pastoral functions as assigned by the lead pastorTo teach Sunday mornings when or if neededTo organize local, national, and/or global mission trips each yearTo develop and implement a plan for on-going parent training and encouragementTo attend young people’s extracurricular games and events To possibly plug into the local schools by any means necessary (coaching, teaching, FCA, clubs, etc.)Duties and Responsibilities for all PastorsPreach and teach the Bible through careful exegesis of the biblical text and relevant applicationActively mentor and disciple willing and active men of the church
