Occupational Therapist School Setting - Lawrence, MA
An educational setting in Lawrence, MA is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services for an elementary caseload on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to apply clinical expertise in a school environment, working 3-4 days per week to support student development and functional participation in academic activities.Key Responsibilities:Assess and evaluate students' occupational therapy needs within an elementary school setting.Develop and implement individualized intervention plans targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes and incorporate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines.Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and assessment results in compliance with regulatory and school standards.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of supportive educational environments.Qualifications:Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials appropriate for school-based service delivery.Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.Strong understanding of school-based occupational therapy strategies and regulations.Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and educational professionals.Demonstrated capacity to manage a caseload and document therapy outcomes accurately.Location: Lawrence, MASchedule: Part-time, 3-4 days per weekAssignment Type: ContractThis position offers a chance to make a tangible impact in the educational progress and daily functioning of young learners within a supportive school community.
