You will act as both a technical leader and change agent, improving the way we build, deploy, and operate software at scale.Key ResponsibilitiesDevOps Architecture & Platform EngineeringDesign and implement end-to-end DevOps platforms supporting CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and application deploymentArchitect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and PackerBuild and maintain cloud-native solutions in Azure and AWS environmentsDevelop scalable deployment strategies leveraging Kubernetes and containerizationAutomation & CI/CD ExcellenceCreate and optimize fully automated CI/CD pipelines across build, test, and release processesImplement quality gates, automated testing strategies, and deployment validation mechanismsDrive 1-click environment provisioning and repeatable infrastructure deploymentCloud & Infrastructure EngineeringLead cloud architecture design across multi-tenant distributed systemsEnsure systems are secure-by-design, leveraging native cloud security, networking, and monitoring capabilitiesManage cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational scalabilityReliability, Observability & OperationsEstablish monitoring, logging, and telemetry frameworks to support system reliability and performanceImprove operational processes through automation and reduction of manual effortSupport production releases and provide technical leadership during complex deploymentsEngineering Culture & EnablementPartner with development teams to embed DevOps and quality-first principles into the SDLCMentor engineers on cloud, DevOps tooling, CI/CD, and automation best practicesLead adoption of modern engineering practices including Agile, TDD, and continuous deliveryDocument best practices, workflows, and platform standards for enterprise adoptionYou will play a critical role in advancing Expeditors’ engineering capabilities by building modern DevOps platforms, enabling high-quality software delivery, and helping teams operate at scale with confidence and efficiency.This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
