Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This position is for a Maintenance Technician. Technician will be responsible to perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic inspections and repairs on various production equipment, machinery and panels across the facility. Experience desired in as many of the following as possible: analog and digital AC and DC drive controllers, solid state circuitry components and programmable logic controlling, motors, generators, alternators, resister banks, oil and vibration analysis equipment, HVAC equipment, etc.
The Technician is responsible for repair of multi and single axis CNC equipment to include Lathes, Mills, EDM, Laser cutting, Water cutting, Hydraulic/Electric tube benders, etc.
In addition to but not limited to may be asked to perform industrial gas readings, facility freeze protection rounds and assist in facility snow removal. This is a fast paced, procedure driven position that always puts safety first.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 plus years of industrial maintenance experience
Must be able to work all shifts, overtime, weekends
Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
Must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, drawings and diagrams
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to qualify to operate man-lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts and skidsteers.
Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
Preferred:
Knowledge of hydraulics and PLCs highly preferred
1 plus years of CNC machine repair
Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC)
Specific trade licensing e.g. Electrical, HVAC/refrigeration
Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure
Military/ Navy experience
Skills:
Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team enviornment and meet organizational goals.
Computer skills with Microsoft office and the ability to adopt to new programs
