Consumables Sales Specialist (Shelton, CT)
Job Responsibilities:Meet and exceed sales targets, including total booked order value and associated marginGenerate sales pipeline by meeting outbound sales activity targets including daily phone calls, customer conversations, quote deliveries, and order conversionsContribute to team success against targets and collaborate with other sales repsWork closely with leadership to develop growth strategies for assigned territoryContact customers to follow up on leads generated through service engineers and other channelsRespond to customer inquiries and act as their point of contact for PerkinElmerDevelop product knowledge to effectively grow portfolio within territoryFollow company best practices and processes and learn effective selling techniquesMaintain sales pipeline and activity accurately in CRM toolsMaintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environmentNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any timeCritical Skills:Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skillsAbility to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunitiesStrong communication skills (telephone & email)Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical informationExcellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and emailHighly effective time management and organizational skillsProcess orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care processBasic Qualifications:1+ years of inside sales experienceHigh school diplomaPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experienceGeneral knowledge of CRM systems is preferred. Salesforce.com experience is a plus. Relevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industryRelevant experience in laboratory or field service operationsThe annual compensation range for this full-time position is $56,680.00 to $79,760.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
