This requisition is hiring for primary and secondary structures stress for airplane production & airplane post-production modifications.At the Long Beach Design Center, we keep the world connected. Our team gives the opportunity to experience many facets of the Boeing Company in one place!Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid and Lead-Level Engineers.Position Responsibilities Performing detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools. This analysis can support production, responses to customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigation, regulatory agency coordination and show compliance to regulatory requirements. Providing guidance on structural design and configuration development. Create trade studies to optimize the structure and meet program requirements. Work with the team to integrate component-level structural models and perform integrated analysis, using finite element methods, to develop internal loads and stresses in order to verify structural integrity with minimal instruction. Document structural analyses and data required to show compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements. Participate in the resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer (internal and external).Required Skills Bachelor of science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree. 10+ years of experience with Stress Analysis/Structural Analysis. 10+ years of experience with classical hand analysis and FEA software experience. Experience with Boeing tools, processes, and procedures. Experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis.
