Start Date: Anticipated July 30th for the 2026-2027 School YearPosition Type: Full-time, 169 days per yearLocation: Harrison K-8Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 169-day Teacher Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. Salary Range $45,186-$77,720.Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, and other optional benefit elections. Longevity and professional development incentives. Preschool options are available for employees with children. Paid Parental Leave. College reimbursements for staff attending preschool courses.QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:Valid Colorado Teacher License, Music Endorsement, or be eligible to applyBachelor Degree or higherSkilled in both general and instrumental music instructional strategiesFamiliarity with the State of Colorado Music StandardsFamiliarity with the curriculum Quavers preferredStrong knowledge of literacy development, instructional programs and practices, and assessmentAbility to employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategiesDesire to incorporate hands-on learning approach with traditional curriculumPromote learning skills of critical thinking, problem solving, and creativityAbility to create a positive learning environment for elementary-aged childrenStrong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate recordsStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work with classroom teachers to facilitate/coordinate scheduling of classes and conferences with parentsAbility to lift 50 lbs.Must pass pre-employment physicalAbility to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the publicAbility to work in collaborative environmentKnowledge of student developmental stagesAbility to communicate with multiple publicsResilience and flexibility in the face of changeAbility to read, write in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete task and establish priorities.Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.RESPONSIBILITIES:Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community. Teachers are held to the District's Licensed Personnel Performance Evaluation System that consists of the State's Quality Standards, elements, and performance indicators which point to fulfillment of the teaching responsibility.
