Accounts Payable Analyst
Job Summary:
The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to paying invoices by verifying and completing payable and receivable transactions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
Makes various month-end entries to accrue payables and assist in month-end processing.
Assists newly acquired locations in setup and procedure.
Works with the offshore team to ensure coding is correct and processes followed.
Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 year of related experience.
Data entry experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a diverse group.
Demonstrated organizational, math, and time management skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals effectively to drive results at all levels of the organization; both internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to handle conflict.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated results oriented.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed; including weekends.
Desired Qualifications:
Accounting degree preferred.
