This individual will contribute to the development and enhancement of our enterprise software platform while helping us explore, design, and implement next-generation AI capabilities across our products and internal development processes.This is a hands-on software development role for someone with strong Java fundamentals, a passion for learning, and practical experience building AI-powered applications or proof-of-concepts. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating with experienced developers, and leveraging modern AI technologies to build intelligent business solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work across enterprise Java development, REST APIs, database development, enterprise integrations, production support, application modernization, and emerging AI technologies while learning from senior engineers and architects.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java web applications using modern software engineering practices.Enhance existing modules while contributing to the design and implementation of new product features.Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party applications.Write efficient SQL queries, troubleshoot database issues, and assist with performance optimization.Participate in debugging, root cause analysis, and production support activities.Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and senior developers throughout the software development lifecycle.Participate in peer code reviews and follow secure coding and development standards.Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate how they can improve business workflows and customer experience.Develop proof-of-concepts utilizing OpenAI or similar LLM platforms.Assist in building AI-powered search, intelligent document processing, configuration validation, troubleshooting assistants, workflow automation, and agentic solutions.Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining high code quality.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.1–3 years of Java development experience, including internships, co-op experience, or substantial personal/open-source projects.Strong knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, multithreading fundamentals, and design principles.Experience developing applications using Spring Framework or Spring Boot.Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and relational databases.Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows.Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.AI EXPERIENCEWe are not looking for an AI researcher or Machine Learning engineer.
