Phlebotomist

Job Title: PhlebotomistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who demonstrates proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups, including pediatric collections and challenging draws in medical office buildings. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety and be able to communicate its importance to other employees effectively. Additionally, the role requires the ability to provide orientation and training for patient service technicians. All interactions with minors will be supervised by a supervisor or RN.ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques.Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws.Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and communicated effectively.Provide orientation and training to patient service technicians.Supervise interactions with minors alongside a supervisor or RN.Essential SkillsProficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture.Comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety.Capability to train and orient new technicians.Experience with specimen processing.Strong communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.CPT I License.Computer literacy, especially with lab systems like Cerner.Excellent customer service skills.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in outpatient clinics across various locations in North County and Anaheim Hills, CA. The work environment includes several draw stations and requires adherence to a professional dress code. The job involves interaction with a variety of patients and requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workspaceJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
