Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations. Provide support throughout the manufacturing process of the electrical/mechanical system that they have designed.The Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical) develops new electrical systems/circuits for various applications. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed .Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Design, develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas. Lead smaller projects and may coordinate with other engineers including reviews of their work.Review and interpret customer documentation, conduct appropriate research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.Creates technical proposals (solution and timelines) based on requirements.Research systems ideas and will draw up plans for these systemsDesign, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.Create designs in line with Celestica's procedures, regulations and customer standardsKeep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulationsSolve complex problemsLiaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.Recommend system modificationsElectrical:Creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.Analyzing and interpreting data and informationCreating reports and documentationProvide support during the manufacturing processFinalize designs and send prints to the production departmentKnowledge/Skills/CompetenciesEngineering Foundation CompetenciesHigh-speed interfaces: PCIe, USB 2.0/3.x, USB-PD/PPS, Ethernet, LVDS, SerDes, MIPI/HDMIHigh-speed PCB design and HDI layoutMultilayer stack-up planning and impedance controlEmbedded Systems & FirmwarePCB design tools Cadence Allegro 16.x &17.x , experience on Valor Trilogy 5000/NPI is preferredPossess experience in high density PCB design up to 28 layers and Familiar with high-speed layout design requirementsWorking knowledge of setting and complying with board and trace constraintsStrong knowledge of PCB & PCBA manufacturing processStrong knowledge of industry and quality standards, knowledge of IPC standards is preferredStrong knowledge of IT platforms and database designFamiliar with EMC & EMI layout requirementsAble to summarize the layout experience from the customer's requirementsSelf-motivated, capable of completing assignments in a dynamic environment, aggressive schedule, and complex design requirementPhysical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Occasional travel may be required.Typical Experience10+ years of related experience; Experience in similar job rolesTypical EducationBachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational Requirements may vary by Geography
