Please apply by 10/8/2024 for best consideration.JOB GOAL: Assist the principal in providing a safe, well-monitored environment for all students.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.Current First Aid/CPR CertificationAbility to relate to students, staff, and parents.Organized and efficient manager of time.Proficient verbal and written communication skills.This is not an instructional position subject to meeting the state minimum employment requirements.Performance, Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site.Administer basic First Aid and assistance to students.Help settle disputes between students through problem-solving methods.Report and document serious concerns/incidents to the school administration.Be aware of potentially hazardous conditions in the assigned work area.Promote opportunities for cooperative interaction/play between students as appropriate to the assigned work area.Help monitor special circumstances/needs for individual children.Work cooperatively with other staff members in the school.Keep track of playground equipment on a daily basis.Be a positive role model for children.Work with students in behavioral remediation settings.Perform other duties as assigned.Working EnvironmentJob duties involve sitting, walking, standing, stooping, crouching and climbing. May be exposed to high noise levels. May be required to deal with distraught students.
