All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and proceduresEnsure consistent execution of shipping, receiving, unloading trucks and checking in materialsSafely operate, transfer and deliver freight utilizing a forklift, pallet jack, two-wheeler, company vehicle, trailer, box truck and/or other equipmentOperate material handling equipment to load and unload materials in a safe mannerAssist in managing company owned and leased equipment to include but not limited to; forklifts, telehandlers, pickups, trailers, UTVs, man-lifts, and scissor liftsRead and accurately follow material request orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shippedPerform duties that may include packing, scanning, cycle-counting or inventorying materialsProactively maintain jobsite organization, basic housekeeping and 5S strategiesOrganize materials, tools, equipment, collect debris, and ensure hazardous conditions are abated, mitigated or promptly addressedUnderstand a task and seek to apply continuous improvement tacticsComply with customer security requirements and guide others in security complianceEnsure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic; wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) and adhere to all safety procedures and programsMaintain accurate counting of physical inventoryProvide excellent customer service as liaison between E2 and customersLead warehouse team and manage warehouse tasks to completionAssist with data collection, reporting and document managementThe individual in this role should be able and willing to travel if required by E2 OpticsWhat We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required1 year of experience in a warehouse environmentBasic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office ProgramsAdditional Requirements: Valid drivers license with a clean driving record over the past 2 yearAbility to listen carefully and follow instructionsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents; basic math skillsDemonstrated ability to be proactive and useful at the jobsitePositive attitude and the ability to work on a team to achieve goals and objectivesHigh attention to detailAbility to meet deadlinesWillingness to work days, nights and weekends as project requiresSelf-motivated and excellent work ethicAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; use whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsDemonstrated team leadership abilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate directly with clients in a professional mannerGeneral knowledge of collecting and reporting dataAbility to organize and manage documents pertaining to inventory and logisticsWhat We OfferCompetitive payOpportunities for professional development and career growthBICSI training facilitiesA supportive and inclusive work environmentHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays Work Environment and Physical Demands The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces.
