Role Overview
This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility and regular courtroom exposure. You will manage active cases, work directly with clients, and collaborate closely with senior attorneys in a high-volume litigation practice. This position is fully in-office and requires regular appearances throughout Long Island and New York City. It is not hybrid or remote.
Key Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal briefs
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and proceedings
Manage active caseloads involving foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant matters
Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and status
Work efficiently in a deadline-driven, high-volume litigation environment
Requirements
Active New York State Bar license (required)
Minimum 1 year of litigation experience (required)
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Professional, client-facing demeanor
