The Survey Crew Chief works with the Land Surveyor to supervise field personnel, perform field surveying and calculations to assist the development of solar PV projects.Apply Now: https://careers.novelenergy.biz/postings/0926d775-d2ce-4023-823d-32a79d530482ResponsibilitiesConduct field surveys for property boundaries, topography, data collection, establish local control, etc.Provide construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, paving, roadways, drainage features, etc.Locate boundary monuments and evidence of occupation.Collect and process field data to produce topographic maps for civil design.Perform boundary survey calculations in the field using Trimble data collection software.Perform boundary calculations on AutoCAD Civil 3D using available field data and record documentsPrepare survey exhibits and record drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines as well as balance multiple projects and manage schedules.Train and oversee field personnel.RequirementsMust be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as a survey team member.2+ years experience leading a survey crew in the Northeast desired.Proficient in operating Trimble survey equipment for collecting field survey data and onsite calculations.Experience with boundary retracement in the Northeast.Ability to perform survey calculations in the field with data collectors and/or a laptop.Experience working with GPS networks and robotic total stations.Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to drive company vehicle.APPLY NOW! https://careers.novelenergy.biz/postings/0926d775-d2ce-4023-823d-32a79d530482Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany DescriptionNovel Energy delivers solar energy solutions helping provide sustainable options to meet evolving energy needs.
