Human Resources Generalist

OSITION SUMMARY:Mackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a proactive and people-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of the employee experience. This full-time, exempt role will play a key part in driving HR operations, supporting employees and leadership, and contributing to an inclusive and engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings well-rounded HR knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting people and organizational success. Our team is committed to integrity, quality, and excellence, and we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Serve as a key point of contact for HR-related questions and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and employment mattersSupport the full employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separationCoordinate and conduct interviews, new hire orientations, stay interviews, and exit interviewsAdminister employee benefits programs and support open enrollment, leave coordination, and employee educationMaintain accurate and confidential HR records and update HR systems, manuals, and internal trackersSupport the performance review process, compensation adjustments, and compliance-related initiativesAssist with training and development programs and track employee participationAddress employee relations concerns with professionalism, empathy, and discretionPrepare reports and contribute to data-driven HR planning and decision-makingRepresent Mackin at job fairs, career events, and HR professional conferencesAssist with company-wide engagement activities, events, and internal committeesCollaborate on special projects to strengthen Mackin’s culture and operationsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required2- 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar roleStrong recruiting backgroundStrong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Deltek Ajera, ADP, and HRIS systems a plusExcellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive informationWHAT WE OFFER:Competitive salary based on experienceOn-the-job trainingCareer growth opportunities in a collaborative environmentComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEducational assistance and professional development opportunitiesEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER:Mackin Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
