Department: ManufacturingReports To: Department SupervisorManagement: NoSalary Grade: HourlyExempt/Non-Exempt: Non-ExemptPosition Overview:The Electronics Assembler performs any combination of routine functions to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations. This position requires attention to detail and a focus on producing defect-free product for our customers.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* Performs intermediate assembly tasks such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.* Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.* Uses hand tools, power tools machines or other equipment to perform work.* May perform assembly operations under microscope or another magnifying device.* Inspects own work to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.* Conducts quality checks periodically.* Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness by meeting all productivity and quality objectives.* Communicates with team and support staff to ensure continuous production at high quality levels.* Balances team and individual responsibilities.* Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all IEC procedures, rules and regulations.Certification, Licensures, or Registration required to qualify for this position* Support and maintain all 6S workplace organization standards.Internal Experience:* Please refer to the 'Electronics Assemble Core Functions Addendum' for training and length of service criteria.Skills and Abilities* Good reading comprehension* Attention to detail* Good hand eye coordination* Effectively use computer* Follow written and verbal instructions* Willingness to learnEducation & Experience:* High School Diploma or GEDPersonal Qualities:* Strong work ethic and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.* Works efficiently and manages time effectively.* Can work independently or with a team.* Multi-task.* Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
