We are actively expanding our commercial real estate portfolio to better serve our clients' needs.Role DescriptionReporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for properties within the real estate portfolio of Shannon Waltchack and assist with Corporate-related daily and weekly tasks such as posting charges, receipts, payables and lease administration. The Staff Accountant will also perform other duties as directed by Management.Accounting Degree RequiredEssential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Property deposit review and posting  Prepare Journal EntriesEnter recurring & ad hoc tenant charges, prepare tenant account analysis and reconciliations, enter ledger adjustmentsSupport, research and answer property related questions, lease information, and operating expense items from the Asset and Property Management teamsAssist with new property onboarding and offboardingManaging tenant information and responding to various requestsProcess and enter invoices for approvalFinancial Report CompilationProcess and reconcile loan and escrow balances Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations for reviewBank account and security deposit reconciliationsGenerate and manage correspondence regarding rent increases and billingMonitor property tax valuation and billingAssist with annual CAM reconciliations and provide necessary back up for tenant billing Support the budget process by gathering and preparing information for assigned propertiesAssist with Accounts Payable processing and administrationRecording charges and receiptsOther duties as directed by ManagementWorking at SWWe’re committed to creating a culture rooted in our values: gratitude, innovation, integrity, and drive, where team members are empowered to learn, lead, and make an impact.
