Process Improvement Lead - Corporate Accounting Operations

OverviewBecome a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Process Improvement Lead will guide the end-to-end delivery of Finance Systems and transformation initiatives—from concept through implementation. This role partners closely with Finance leadership, Corporate Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive predictable execution of high-impact programs including system implementations, process redesign, and modernization efforts. The Lead will translate business needs into clear requirements, influence solution design to optimize outcomes, and ensure solutions are tested, compliant, and operationally ready—delivering measurable business value aligned to Finance priorities.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of Finance initiatives including system implementations, process redesign, and on-prem to cloud migrationsDrive predictable execution through effective planning, risk management, issue escalation, and stakeholder communicationsPartner with Finance leaders and business owners to translate technology and automation needs into prioritized roadmaps and delivery plansInfluence system and process design to improve efficiency, controls, and business outcomesEnsure alignment with Finance priorities, regulatory requirements, and internal control standardsFacilitate delivery planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives to keep teams aligned and outcomes focusedProactively identify and remove delivery blockers and manage cross-team dependenciesProvide clear, concise reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes for senior Finance leadershipIdentify resource needs, coordinate across teams, and resolve operational challenges to minimize delaysEnsure high-quality documentation of solution requirements (use cases, user stories, process flows, mockups, test scenarios, and test cases)Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and present actionable recommendations to leadershipKey CompetenciesAccountability & Ownership: Takes personal responsibility for outcomes, models follow-through, and holds teams accountable for delivering resultsCollaboration & Enterprise Mindset: Builds strong partnerships across Finance, Technology, and the enterprise; prioritizes Humana's success over functional silosExecution for Results: Translates strategy into action, simplifies complexity, embraces change, and removes barriers to deliveryInterpersonal Effectiveness: Builds trust through respectful communication, active listening, and emotional intelligence; navigates change with resiliencePurpose-Driven Leadership: Connects work to Humana's mission and member impact, reinforcing the "why" behind transformation effortsUse your skills to make an impactRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology, or related field3–5 years of experience supporting Finance transformation, systems modernization, requirements design, and testingExperience delivering Finance and Accounting initiativesHands-on experience with Finance systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, planning, allocations)Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environmentProficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePointExperience with project and delivery management toolsStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail with a continuous-improvement mindsetWorking knowledge of SQL, VBA, Cloud platforms, Databricks, or SnowflakePreferred QualificationsHealth insurance or payer operations experienceValue-based care or provider arrangement experienceCPA or equivalent certificationTravel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$94,900 - $130,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
