Junior Java Full Stack Developer This Software Engineer/Developer role is due to junior associates on the team (Java Developers/Mainframe Developers) transferring to another area to focus only on Java. Therefore, there is Java work that the team doesn't have the capacity to handle. The selected candidate will be working on vulnerability remediation, tech modernization, configuration updates, library updates. It is crucial work with a reasonable framework and timeline. The hiring manager is open to local or non-local candidates. If candidate is local (defined as within a 90 min commute to the office) they will be expected to work at our Downtown St. Paul Office sometimes, as defined by the team's hybrid schedule. This is currently a contract-only position, but there is potential for contract-to-hire in the future if FTE positions open up.We are seeking a full stack Java developer with JavaScript, SQL Server, and Spring Batch skills to work in a collaborative environment on a variety of different software systems. We support internal facing web applications, administration systems, batch applications and services for the Group Administrative Solutions business. We leverage many different tools and technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Gradle, Informatica, and SQL Server. Our teams focus on maintaining administrative applications. We also have work supporting Application Managed Services (AMS) and AWS Cloud Migration. We also build systems to allow Home Office associates to provide service to our participants and plan sponsors.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities.Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset.Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and moving to AWS.Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders.
