This role supports our motor freight operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating equipment, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Why You'll Love Working Here:Competitive hourly pay + annual bonus opportunities11 paid holidays + 3 additional paid holiday break daysPTO + 401(k) with company match and profit sharingLow-cost medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life & disability insuranceSchedule:First Shift Monday-Friday8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime opportunities available (primarily at the start of the shift)What You'll Do:Pick, verify, and pack materials for outgoing motor freight shipmentsBuild pallets and construct wooden crates/containers to ensure safe transportLoad and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoistsPrepare bills of lading, shipping documents, and other freight paperworkCoordinate with internal teams and freight carriers to ensure timely shipmentsMove, stage, and organize materials within the yard and warehouseAssist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying accuracyPerform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory recordsSupport general material handling and shipping/receiving operations as neededWhat We're Looking For:Experience in shipping/receiving, material handling, or warehouse operationsComfortable working specifically with motor freight shipmentsForklift experience required (or ability to become certified)Ability to build pallets and crate materials for shipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills for shipping documentationWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Regular lifting of up to 55 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 80 lbsFrequent bending, twisting, lifting, and climbingComfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all Midwest weather conditionsActive, hands-on role requiring movement throughout the shiftAdditional Information:This position plays a key role in ensuring materials are shipped safely, accurately, and on time.
