Job Title: Android DeveloperLocation: Charlotte, NC Duration: 12+ MonthsPayrate: $70-80/hrJob OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer to join a dynamic engineering team responsible for building and enhancing enterprise-grade mobile applications. This role requires strong hands-on experience in modern Android development, with a focus on scalable architecture, performance optimization, and seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working in collaborative, fast-paced environments and delivering high-quality applications deployed to the Play Store.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Android applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver new featuresImplement modern Android architecture patterns using Jetpack componentsWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standardsUtilize Kotlin and advanced programming techniques such as coroutines and reactive programmingIntegrate RESTful APIs and third-party services using tools like RetrofitImplement dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger) for scalable application designConduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure application stabilityParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesEnsure application security, data protection, and compliance with enterprise standardsRequired Qualifications5+ years of overall software development experience4+ years of hands-on Android development in enterprise or team-based environments3+ years of strong experience with KotlinProven experience with:Reactive ProgrammingKotlin CoroutinesDependency Injection frameworks (Dagger or similar)Retrofit for API integrationAndroid Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, etc.)Experience building and publishing Android applications (portfolio or apps in Play Store preferred)Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns (MVVM, MVP, etc.)Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSONPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in FinTech or Banking domainFamiliarity with secure coding practices and mobile application security standardsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for mobile applicationsKnowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito)Experience with performance optimization and memory managementThe Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually - as applicable.
