Warehouse Manager
RELOCATION REQUIRED
This position will train at MEVA USA HQ, in Springfield, OH for 12 months prior to relocating to Texas facility. Likely location in Houston, Austin, or Dallas.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our warehouse operations in Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of improving processes and managing inventory effectively. This role requires leadership skills to supervise warehouse staff, ensure efficient shipping and receiving, and maintain high standards of safety and productivity within the warehouse environment.
Duties
Maintain standards of health and safety for associates and follow safety guidelines as outlined by OSHA
Manages warehouse & yard operations for Texas location
Schedule workload and shift/personnel adjustments based on production needs for all shifts
Manage inventory of Texas Warehouse and Yard, to include product label accuracy, dispositions, quarterly and annual physical inventory, etc.
Owner and lead for readying the warehouse & yard operations for new product introductions and providing input on phasing out products
Collection of data and generation of reports, as needed; present in monthly/quarterly leadership meetings
Maintain extensive formwork and accessories knowledge
Assist with new hire orientation and training
Assist with existing associate training and skill growth
Administer disciplinary action and documentation of performance issues
Evaluate employee performance and participate in annual performance appraisals
Maintain an excellent level of communication with all departments
Skills & Qualifications
Supervisory experience required
Forklift experience a plus
Knowledge of 5/6S and Lean Management
Safety management skills/knowledge of OSHA standards
Inventory control and ability to develop standards
Computer use and experience with Microsoft Programs
Ability to forecast changes/production needs
Ability to maintain warehouse equipment and schedule maintenance
Formwork and Accessories Training
SAP Training
ADP Training
