Mechanical Design Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support aerospace test laboratory operations in Miami, FL. This role is focused on the design, modification, and support of mechanical and pneumatic test systems used for validation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of aerospace components.The successful candidate will work hands‑on in a fast‑paced lab environment, designing test fixtures, pneumatic circuits, and valve systems, while also supporting legacy test equipment and documentation. This position requires strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD 3D, along with practical experience working with pneumatics, valves, and pressure systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and modify mechanical test fixtures, tooling, and adapters using SolidWorksDevelop and support pneumatic test systems, including valve selection, pressure regulation, and system layoutsCreate and update pneumatic schematics, 3D models, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 3DSupport test setup, execution, troubleshooting, and failure analysis in the test labWork closely with technicians, quality, and test personnel to resolve hardware and test issuesUpdate and interpret legacy drawings and documentation for existing test equipmentSupport regulated engineering documentation, including test procedures, reports, and audit supportParticipate in continuous improvement of test methods, fixtures, and lab efficiencyRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent years of work experience in the field.5+ years of experience in mechanical design, test engineering, or laboratory supportStrong hands‑on experience with pneumatic systems and valves (directional, solenoid, pressure control, relief)
