AI Tech Lead – Underwriting SystemsFTE | NYC | HybridTarget Base: $200k+ (DOE)Overview:We are seeking a highly analytical, technically capable professional to partner closely with executive leadership on strategic, financial, and technology-driven initiatives across the business. This role sits at the intersection of quantitative finance, strategy, and platform development and supports decision-making through advanced modeling, data analysis, and systems-oriented thinking.The ideal candidate is comfortable working across financial statements, large datasets, and technical tools, and can translate complex quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Quantitative Finance & Modeling:Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting, strategic planning, and scenario analysisAnalyze balance sheets, cash flows, and capital structure to assess financial performance, liquidity, and riskDesign and run stress-testing and contingency scenarios related to external, regulatory, or macroeconomic eventsSupport long-range financial planning and sensitivity analysis across key business driversTechnology & Platform Enablement:Partner with technology leadership to support financial and operational technology initiativesUse analytical tools to analyze data, automate workflows, and improve modeling efficiencyContribute to the design, testing, and enhancement of internal platforms, tools, and analytical systemsTranslate financial and strategic requirements into technical, data-driven solutionsStrategic & Transactional Support:Provide analytical support for complex financing and capital-related initiativesAssist with modeling related to structured transactions, securitization efforts and new business initiativesPrepare financial analyses and materials for internal leadership and external stakeholdersExecutive Partnership & Communication:Serve as a trusted analytical partner to executive leadership on strategic and operationaldecisionsDevelop clear, concise presentations and written materials for executive audiencesCommunicate complex financial and technical concepts in an accessible and professional mannerCross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with finance, technology, and operations teams to ensure data accuracy and alignmentIdentify opportunities to improve processes, analytics, and reporting through automation and systems enhancementsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in a quantitative, analytical, or finance-focused role utilizing Artificial Intelligence and PythonStrong expertise in financial modeling and quantitative analysisSolid understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasetsAbility to effectively bridge finance, technology, and strategyHigh degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Exposure to structured finance, capital markets, or securitization-related analysisProficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automationTechnology tools
