Kitting Technician
Quantum Systems Inc. is a global leader in aerial intelligence and autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics. We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Kitting Technician. This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager.
The Kitting Technician is responsible for managing inventory and preparing job kits by ensuring all required hardware components are available for assembly. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment, strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to follow established work instructions
Duties:
Utilize software-based scheduling tools to effectively prioritize assembly kits.
Efficiently and accurately manage the intake of finished components and hardware into inventory storage locations, utilizing standardized processes and procedures to ensure optimal organization.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records in designated software systems and storage locations to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
Cross-train, when necessary, on different roles within the inventory framework as required by the business.
Manage inventory and assembly of job kits by ensuring availability of required hardware components.
Pull and assemble job kits using standardized processes and procedures and promptly address any shortages by notifying appropriate personnel.
Facilitate smooth production workflow by providing comprehensive training to the relevant personnel, enabling them to understand and effectively support the production and inventory processes.
Perform routine inventory cycle counts as needed to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a inventory control or production manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must have basic computer operation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
