Senior Staff Accountant

About the CompanyXpanner North America is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to support and take ownership of key accounting functions. This role will work closely with finance, operations, and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong documentation, and audit readiness.This position is expected to operate with a high level of independence and manage multiple areas of accounting in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activitiesPrepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAPPerform and review account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepanciesLead key portions of the month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, and maintaining close schedulesManage cash activity, including bank and credit card reconciliations, monitoring cash balances, and supporting cash flow planningOversee inventory accounting, including inventory transactions and adjustments, reconciliation between subledger and general ledger, investigation of inventory discrepancies with operations and warehouse teams, and ensuring proper cost capitalizationSupport sales tax processes, including preparing supporting data, reconciling sales tax accounts, and coordinating with external advisors for filingsServe as a key contact for external audit support, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and maintaining audit-ready documentationEnsure accurate and consistent use of NetSuite ERP, including proper transaction coding and data integrityMaintain vendor documentation, including W-9 and 1099 complianceIdentify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controlsCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, sales, and management teams to ensure accurate financial reportingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experienceStrong experience with full-cycle accountingSolid understanding of U.S. GAAPExperience with inventory accounting, including: inventory transactions, adjustments and reconciliations, and understanding of inventory flow and costingExperience supporting external audits and preparing schedulesExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in construction, equipment, or manufacturing-related industriesExperience working in a startup or fast-growing environmentBilingual in Korean and English is a plus, but not required
