About the Role Are you a seasoned Structural Engineer looking for your next big challenge? We are seeking a powerhouse engineer to lead the design and management of critical structural projects. From heavy-duty structural steel frames and equipment support systems to complex skid assemblies and foundations, you will be the mastermind ensuring our designs are robust, innovative, and code-compliant. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Design & Model: Develop complete structural steel design packages (plans, sections, details) and use RISA3D to build advanced structural models. Analyze & Validate: Create comprehensive calculation packages for steel members, connections, anchorage, and lifting points. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity under both static and dynamic loads. Approve & Stamp: Provide stamped engineering drawings and calculations, utilizing reciprocity to support multiple states as needed. Review and greenlight fabrication drawings for construction. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to seamlessly coordinate structural requirements. Field & Shop Support: Champion projects through the finish line by supporting manufacturing and field service teams during fabrication, installation, and commissioning. What You Bring to the Table Education & Licensing: Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Credential: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with the verified ability to stamp and seal drawings. Technical Skills & Expertise: Core Knowledge: Deep understanding of structural engineering principles, steel design, and industry codes (IBC, AISC, ASCE). Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in RISA3D and experience interpreting complex FEA data. (Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is a nice bonus!) Practical Know-How: Hands-on familiarity with structural steel connection design, fabrication drawings, sheet metal working practices, and welding codes (like AWS D1.1/D1.1M). Professional Strengths: Precision: An eagle-eye attention to detail for intricate structural systems. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills to connect seamlessly with contractors, clients, and internal teams. Drive: Stellar time management, organization, and a knack for analytical problem-solving. Experience: 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, specifically focused on industrial or commercial structural steel design.
