The belief in sustainability within our company’s practices creates a focus on client success and partnerships that are important to our communities and our environment.A Day in the Life of a Water/Wastewater Engineer at HansonHere’s a snapshot of what you would do in this role:Design water and wastewater infrastructure from concept through permitting, plan/specification production, and construction contract administrationDevelop water distribution and wastewater collection systems, including hydraulic calculations and modelingDesign pump stations for potable water, wastewater, and stormwater applicationsDesign water and wastewater treatment units for municipal and industrial clientsPrepare calculations, quantity takeoffs, and opinions of probable construction costsProduce plans and specifications and assist with permitting and technical reportsCollaborate with senior technical staff and participate in mentorship and team managementStay current with industry innovations and integrate technological advances into engineering analysesInteract with private and municipal clients in both public and private settingsOther duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForWe feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:SkillsProficiency in Excel, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, XPSWMM, and ArcGISStrong technical skills in water/wastewater collection/distribution systems, pump hydraulics, and treatment designAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsInterest in mentoring junior staff and managing design teamsFamiliarity with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) regulationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil or related Engineering field (required)Minimum of 5 years of experienceFlorida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 monthsAdvanced degrees or specialization in water/wastewater treatment design (preferred)Salary Range$115,000 – $170,000, based on experience.BenefitsOur focus on people means we offer a generous benefits program to help you create a solid foundation for health and security throughout your career, including:Competitive compensationPerformance bonuses401(k) with matching contributionEmployee Stock Ownership PlanComprehensive health & well-being plansFinancial wellness plansWork-life balance programsWant to know more?
