This role includes managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. The Controller will coordinate monthly and quarterly close processes, reconcile key accounts, and maintain internal controls for accurate financial reporting. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, as well as working with external auditors or tax advisors when needed. The role also includes refining financial policies, documenting procedures, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability in financial operations.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in accounting and financial reporting, including general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.Strong proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Experience establishing and maintaining internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.Advanced skills with accounting and spreadsheet software; experience with cloud-based finance tools is beneficial.Thorough understanding of GAAP or relevant accounting standards and familiarity with audit and tax processes.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with distributed teams.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with clear and concise communication abilities.Efficiency in paylocity,gusto,ramp
