Mortgage Accounting Consultant

Overview: We are looking for an experienced Morgage Accountant for our leading banking client on a project basis. This role is on-site in Fort Worth, Texas. Responsibilities: Work with Mortgage Servicing Manager and team to review the financial transactions related to investor accounts Reconcile investor accounts with internal records and external fund administrators to resolve discrepancies Validate compliance with regulatory requirements and fund agreements Deep dive analysis of cash outages, identify the accurate reason and collaborate with the appropriate stakeholder to clear the cash outage Root cause analysis of exception report (internal/external) to make required data corrections Knowledge of investor guidelines, mortgage, cash distribution to loan, and general ledger Qualifications: 3-5 years Mortgage Servicing knowledge Prior experience using Jack Henry (JHA) Silverlake System Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and fund administration Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Intermediate to expert in Microsoft Excel Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
