Inventory Control Lead

Position SummaryResponsible for safely participating and leading the inventory personnel in a variety of warehouse and yard activities including maintaining accurate records of material quantities and types.Job Functions/DutiesDelegate daily tasks and monitor efficiency, accuracy and safety habitsReport issues or concerns to the Inventory Supervisor or ManagerComplete daily inventory audits by comparing physical counts against system records and investigate reasons for discrepancies. (Cycle Counts)Assist in the unloading of truck deliveries and review incoming inventory shipments for accuracyPrepare outbound Purchase Orders and include the required shipping documentationPull necessary parts to build or repaired finished goods as outlined on Work OrdersRestock inventory itemsCommunicate inventory shortages and defective or unusable itemsAssist other departments with their inventory requests and move items in the system to their designated locationsMaintain inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse by tracking product movements using established internal control procedures.Generate inventory-related reportsCommunicate via email with Purchasing Department and Operational Departments regarding Purchase Orders and identify any discrepancies in what was received compared to the Packing ListOperate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as part of daily activities; and must be able to obtain forklift certificationPersonally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for actionQualifications/Education RequirementsBasic computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or inventory databasesGood oral and written communication and analytical skillsMust have experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, and working in an environment, which requires flexibility, time management, and accuracyHighly motivated and able to work efficiently and safelyHigh School diploma or equivalent required3+ years of inventory warehouse experience preferredWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsContinuously required to move about the facility which may include exposure to various outdoor elements and physical laborRotating On-Call schedule and the ability to work weekendsUse of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, eye protection, hardhat and safety shoes in designated areas throughout the warehouseThis is a safety sensitive positionJob Posted by ApplicantPro
