Responsible for participating in and assisting with all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Center. Interacts with members and staff to deliver a safe and welcoming environment for all. Provides safe, motivating, and effective individual and group exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate others in person and virtually. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality training, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards.CUSTOMER SERVICEAnticipate member needs and provide proactive service during peak and non-peak timesEngage with members on a one-on-one basis, providing education, support and ensuring their safetyProvide prompt response to medical emergencies and complete required documentation with proficiencyEnsure proper and accurate membership processing procedures are followedListen, cooperate, and be respectful towards all team members, members, and client(s)Positively contribute to a welcoming, friendly and team environment where respect is demonstrated, contributions are recognized, and process improvement is encouragedBe readily available to answer questions, assist members and support fellow team membersDemonstrate proactive communication to keep General Manager informed of important program and client developmentsRECREATIONWork with the General Manager, and other team members, to develop, coordinate, and communicate the annual/quarterly recreation and rental calendarLead the internal training of team members needing assistance and/or those interested in expanding their recreation and rental program planning skill setHold all team members accountable for supporting the annual recreation and rental program calendar and provide ongoing recommendations for program improvement and/or enhancementEnsure program recreation plans are completed and on file, and programs are properly promoted, implemented, and evaluatedPrepare recreation and rental programming content for site stats/utilization report and actively contribute to survey analysis and standard reports including monthly, bi-annual and annual reports, etc.Identify opportunities to network with client specific resources (such as HR, benefits, food service, onsite health clinic) to enhance overall site marketing and promotional reachOTHERProvide individualized, safe, and effective exercise programs and comprehensive member services for all fitness levelsInstruct safe and effective group exercise classes ensure class quantity is met based on contract requirementsProactively assist with the inspection of the facility daily and report any cleaning, facility, or equipment issues to appropriate personnelProactively define areas for self-development and identify the tools and resources needed to address those areas.
