Chief Inspector

Chief Inspector The Chief Inspector is responsible for the oversight of the assigned Inspection teams at FTAI Aviation USA locations, MRO, ETC, and EMT, performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and/or final Inspections.The Chief Inspector oversees and authorizes the return to service functions on all civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the OEM for continued airworthiness, operator technical data, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable and/or approved by the FAA.Responsibilities:Ascertain that all inspections are performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service, by an approved employees as per the Repair Station's roster.Responsible for the WIP tracking and monitoring within department.Set, track, and improve department performance metrics and goals.Submit reports of serious defects or recurring un-airworthy conditions in accordance with the procedures described in this manual and in 14 CFR 145.221.Ensure that work accomplished outside the repair station's fixed location is performed in accordance with the Repair Station Manual.Establish and modify the policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the elements of the Company's maintenance and inspection programs, including the identification and management of the interactions between processes, to assure that aircraft, engines and appliances are acquired and maintained in an airworthy condition in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations.Ensure all quality systems and procedures are properly implemented and effective.Communicate efficiently with all employee levels and Customer Service as necessary.Participate in special projects as deemed valuable to the Department and Company.Support the review and approval of self-evaluations for new capabilities, maintain the Capability List as delineated in the Repair Station Manual.Oversee and plan employees' performance, training, and development.Lead Root Cause Analysis for nonconformances and audit corrective actions.Qualifications:Airframe and Powerplant License under part 6510+ years of Experience in MRO.5+ years of Experience in a Supervisory or Leadership role.Understand, read, and speak English.Strong leadership and communication skills.Job Demands:Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance.
