YOUR ROLE AS A VUI'S KITCHEN SHIFT LEADER:
Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them
Opening & closing tasks
Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working when a manager isn’t on duty.
Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties
Mastering menu and product knowledge
Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)
Prepping food and doing side work
Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
Proper food handling and storage of food products
Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform and appearance
THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:
Must be 21 years of age.
Prior food service experience preferred.
Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests / team members
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures.
Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food.
Work flexible schedule.
Dependable, reliable and trustworthy
ALL EMPLOYEES MUST:
Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)
Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment.
YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS:
A typical workday at Vui's Kitchen may look like:
Morning shift - 8am - 4pm
Evenings - 4pm - 9:30pm
Weekends- when applicable
Holidays - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)
Hours will vary by store.
You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a char grill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.
