Senior Azure/Systems EngineerThe role of the Senior Azure/Systems Engineer will be to design, build, implement and deliver scalable Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions, in addition to supporting the on-prem Windows servers. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure environment and building out automation using IaC techniques.What You'll Be DoingDrive the modernization of infrastructure services within Azure Cloud. Deliver this by engineering Azure-cloud based infrastructure solutions leveraging automation and modern deployment methodologies. These solutions will be consumed by product and application teams to meet business goals and objectivesBuild cloud foundational components encompassing network, security, identity, operations, and governance in the Azure cloudDevelop and document cloud best practices, guidelines, and cost management of cloud technologiesOperationalize solutions from proof-of-concept through production, using automation for repeatability, maintainability, and to enforce standardsResponsible for managing the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues for the Azure and server environmentsResponsible for partnering with the security team to enable, execute and operate the security, resilience and monitoring of our hosting environmentRepresent the hosting technologies in Change Advisory Board meetings, review and planning meetings and architectural reviewResponsible for fostering a practice of collaboration and continuous improvement within the teamCollaborates with internal and/or external resources, providing technical expertise for the hosting environmentConducts performance monitoring, capacity planning, workload modeling and predictive analyses to identify and resolve potential issues (e.g., performance, security breaches)Set up the target environment from foundational blueprints (HLD/LLD designs & requirements)Skills We're Seeking7+ total years of experience with Cloud/Systems Engineering experience in a Microsoft environmentMust have 3+ years of experience with Azure and 3+ years of on-prem systems engineering with Windows Server and VMWare or Hyper-VExcellent knowledge in the platform of Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services and foundational components of compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, security, tenant/subscriptions and other foundational PaaS services used in any of the above elementsScripting and automation experience, ideally with PowerShell or Azure ARMNice To Have ExperienceExperience with Azure DevOps CI/CDExperience with IaC tools, such as TerraformFamiliarity with authentication systems such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth Kerberos, and LDAPExperience with Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud ArchitectureMicrosoft Certified Azure Architect
